Specialty Fabric Review | April 1, 2025
Storm Creek was recently featured in Specialty Fabric Review for our unwavering commitment to sustainability. Our efforts focus on upcycling plastic bottles into high-quality apparel, including jackets, vests, shirts, and pants. We take pride in holding ourselves accountable at every stage of the supply chain, and while we celebrate our progress, we recognize there is still much more work to be done.
Each garment is made from polyester fibers derived from recycled plastic, with the number of bottles used proudly displayed on the product tag. For example, our Overachiever jacket contains approximately 33–42 plastic bottles.
Since our founding in 1995, we’ve prioritized sustainability, making it a core part of our mission when Teresa Fudenberg became CEO in 2014. We also created the Storm Creek Sustainability School™ to educate our customers and partners on topics like water conservation, sustainable fabrics, and carbon emissions.
Beyond sustainability, we’re committed to giving back to our community, aiming to donate $5 million by 2030 to organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Feeding America, and so many more. In 2024, we upcycled 46 million plastic bottles, and we’re on track to recycle at least 65 million in 2025.
