More than $21,000 Raised for our Charity Partners in 2017!

In 2017, Storm Creek had a goal of raising $20,000 for our charity partners. We are excited to share that we've exceeded our 2017 charity program goal by raising $21,193.20 for local and national charity partners!

As part of our Embrace the Cause Charitable Giving Program, Storm Creek is committed to giving generously to local charities. Every year during our annual warehouse sales, we offer a special “Shop for a Cause: Give 10%, Save $10” fundraising opportunity.

Shoppers can select a participating charity partner they would like to support, and Storm Creek donates 10% of the purchase to the selected partner, while the shopper gets $10 off their order of $50 or more. Charity partners also received an opportunity to be featured during special “Spotlight Hour” segments throughout the warehouse sales to provide further information and additional promotions to guests. Our 2017 charity partners included Special Olympics; Friends of Twin Cities in Motion; The American Cancer Society; Feed My Starving Children; Gobble Gait Marathon (Hasting Family Services); Save the Boundary Waters; Feed My Starving Children Cannon Falls Mobile Pack; Minnesota Military Family Foundation; The Open Door (hunger relief through access to healthy food); Firefly Sisterhood (breast cancer mentors); Finnegans Community Fund (alleviating hunger in local communities); Swingin’ on the River; Servant Road (mission trips); The Dan-O Fund (support for families dealing with mental illness and suicide); VailPlace; Spirit River Community; and the Hastings LaCrosse Club.

At Storm Creek, we do not limit our giving to our warehouse sale and holiday season alone. We also seek greater meaning in our work by giving generously to impact causes throughout the entire year. Through Embrace the Cause 2017, we donated one piece of apparel for every item purchased on our website to victims of Hurricane Harvey during the month of September, as well as donated to local charities in our headquarter location in the Twin Cities.

“I am very proud that we were able to make such an impact in so many ways this year. An additional bonus is that we introduced special, limited-edition “Embrace the Cold” hats, in partnership with a local television station, along with other winter apparel – proceeds going to the Special Olympics Minnesota,” – Storm Creek CEO Teresa Fudenberg.
