Why Giving Matters to Us
As we celebrate National Giving Month this December, it’s a time to reflect on the power of philanthropy and its positive impact on communities. Giving back is at the heart of everything we do, with sustainability and charitable partnerships guiding our mission to create meaningful change.
With an ambitious goal of donating $5 million by 2030, nearly $3 million has already been contributed. This commitment to philanthropy has recently earned the prestigious Minnesota Keystone Small Business Award, recognizing corporate generosity within Minnesota’s business community.
Storm Creek’s Approach to Giving
Monetary Contributions
Our giveback efforts are woven into everything we do throughout the year. We’re proud to partner with 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of our annual sales to environmental causes. We also support local organizations through the Storm Creek Community Fund, and contribute 5% of our sales to the Minnesota Keystone Program, helping make a difference both near and far.
In addition to our ongoing contributions, we run special campaigns to amplify our impact. For Women’s History Month, we donated 10% of sales from women-owned distributors to Girls on the Run® International, an organization that empowers young girls through mentorship and physical activity. Donations went directly to local chapters, so the support stayed close to home.
Earth Month is always a big focus for us, especially as we continue our partnership with the National Park Foundation to help preserve and protect some of America’s most iconic landscapes. These initiatives are just a few ways we stay committed to sustainability and giving back all year long.
Apparel Donations
Clothing donations are another key part of our giving efforts at Storm Creek. As a Minnesota-based company, we know how vital warm clothing is during the long winters. Through the Storm Creek Community Fund, we provide year-round support to nonprofits, with a special focus on apparel donations when the cold weather hits.
Recently, we teamed up with HEART, a volunteer-led nonprofit focused on providing relief to local communities. We donated around 6,000 garments to HEART for distribution to those in need. This partnership has strengthened our commitment to giving back, and we’re thankful to work alongside an organization with the reach and impact to make a real difference.
